Summerhill Health is a private GP clinic at 6 Broomfield Lane, Hale, WA15 9AQ, in the heart of Hale village, a short walk from Hale railway station and a 10 to 15 minute walk from Altrincham.
We’re easy to reach from across Greater Manchester and Cheshire, including Altrincham, Bowdon, Timperley, Sale, Wilmslow, Knutsford, Cheadle, and central Manchester.

Areas we serve
Most of our patients travel to the clinic from:
- Hale, Bowdon, and Altrincham – local, walking or short drive
- Timperley, Sale, Cheadle, and Wythenshawe – 10-15 minutes by car
- Wilmslow, Knutsford, Mobberley, and Alderley Edge – 15-25 minutes by car
- Manchester city centre, Didsbury, and Chorlton – 25-35 minutes by car or 30 minutes by tram
- Stockport, Macclesfield, and Congleton – 25-40 minutes by car
Parking
- On Broomfield Lane (directly outside the clinic): two-hour free street parking, subject to availability.
- Hale Railway Station car park: a 2-minute walk from the clinic.
- Sainsbury’s Hale car park (behind the village): a 3-minute walk.
We are fully accessible; however, please call ahead so that we can make any necessary arrangements. Please get in touch if you require further information.
If you’re attending a longer appointment, we recommend using the station or Sainsbury’s car park rather than the two-hour street bays.
Finding the entrance
The clinic is on Broomfield Lane, two doors down from Plant Boost and around the corner from Hale Railway station. Reception is straight ahead as you enter through our front door.

How to get to us
By car
Our postcode for satnav is WA15 9QA. Approximate journey times:
- Altrincham town centre: 5 minutes
- Manchester city centre: 25–35 minutes via the A56 or M56
- Manchester Airport (T1/T2/T3): about 15 to 20 minutes
- Wilmslow: 20 minutes via the A538
- Knutsford: 20 minutes via the A556
By train
Hale Railway Station is directly adjacent to the clinic, a 2-minute walk away. Hale is on the Mid-Cheshire line, operated by Northern, with regular direct services from Manchester Piccadilly, Stockport, Altrincham, Knutsford, Northwich, and Chester.
By tram (Metrolink)
Altrincham is the terminus of the Metrolink Altrincham line, a 10-15 minute walk from the clinic. Trams run frequently from Manchester city centre (St Peter’s Square, Deansgate-Castlefield, and Cornbrook) with a journey time of around 30 minutes.
By bus
Hale and Altrincham are well-served by Stagecoach Manchester routes, including 263 and 280, running from Manchester city centre, Sale, and surrounding areas. The nearest bus stops are on Ashley Road, a short walk from the clinic.
